1951 Fender Nocaster

BMVG's is pleased to offer a stunning 1951 Fender Nocaster!

The Nocaster had a very short period of approximately 5/6 months of production and or fewer than 500 guitars. These "tweener" badged guitars came after the lawsuit by Gretsch over the name "Broadcaster". Leo not wanting to stop production simply altered the logos (cutting off the broadcaster portion) and continued on until Fender adopted the name Telecaster.

This highly desirable instrument remains 100% factory perfect to the frets. It offers incredibly clarity and bite a big reason why this line of guitars has remained in constant production since their inception in 1950. These early Ash bodied "Broad/No/Tele's" are known to be exceptionally light, this one is no different weighing a ridiculous 6 lbs 9oz. The pickups retain their factory windings and are excellent sonically, they read 6.22 N & 6.42 B, how's that for balanced.

The neck is dated by Ivon 8/24/51. The body is dated by JS 8/17/51 and the cavity retains tape also dated 8/24/51. The original case is in excellent working & cosmetic condition and an original strap is in the center pocket! Though this Nocaster does display some play wear and checking it remains undoubtably in collector grade condition.
