1958 Gibson Les Paul
1958 was a monumental year for Gibson with so many revolutionary things happening looking back it is absolutely mind bending. Little did Ted, Les and the team know at the time they would forever change & help shape the history of Americana, Pop Culture, Art, Rock & Roll and much more, or perhaps they did?
From the incredibly futuristic Korina guitars V & X, to the introduction of the ES-335 as well as the "newly" designed (less than a year old) PAF pickup that would find it's way into what would become the most coveted guitar in the world. A maple topped, Sunburst "painted" Gibson Les Paul Standard.
Which leads us to (drum roll please) introducing the Tejas Burst.
This previously uncirculated, completely unblemished and absolutely collectors grade first year Burst is in short, other worldly. We've had a number of significant Sunburst Les Pauls come in & out of the shop in recent years but this one is truly inspiring. Completely unfaded color, factory perfect frets, solders, tuner tips & the lot. This 58 Burst remains precisely as it left the line in Kalamazoo in the Summer of 1958. The Tejas Burst is a two owner guitar that was originally procured by Burst Guru Drew Berlin (IYKYK) and has been in a major collection, you guessed it in Texas for the past 30 years.
This is as honest and complete of an example as you can hope to find.
