1959 Gibson ES-335

BMVG's is pleased to offer a stunning 1959 Gibson ES-335.
 
With only 521 335's shipped in 1959 these grail instruments of Gibsons golden era offer a LOT of upside as investments. They also happen to be incredible instruments to enjoy in the meantime, I'd call that a win/win! This mid year example features a full neck that is incredible in hand, measuring (.86 - .96) absolute perfection! The sealed PAF's read an incredibly strong and balanced 8.33 N & 8.40 B respectively, they are double blacks.
 
The original frets remain in excellent condition. This example had flat wounds on it for most of its life and it PLAYS up and down the board, zero issues, is totally dialed in and intonated. The lush Sunburst finish remains virtually unfaded and absolutely stunning. This dot is a solid 9/10 overall condition though it has one small knock keeping it from pushing the very top of the market. It had a sideways vibrato on it at one time which left 4 screw holes at the end pin; nothing on the top (see photo). If there was a small cosmetic issue that most of us can easily live with, I'd say this is the one!
