1961 Gibson ES-335
BMVG's is happy to offer this incredible sounding and totally straight 1961 Gibson ES-335!
This one is on consignment from a client who purchased this instrument through Gibson's Certified Vintage Program, booklet included.
61's often get a bad wrap, thanks Charlie :) and for the guitars that have WAY too thin of a neck (.78 etc) and or a truss crack due to that neck, I totally understand why. The guitars that have a little more meat on their bones have always offered a terrific discount on a PAF powerhouse!
Speaking about the PAF's these are as balanced as you can possible get. They read, 7.74 N & 7.77 B respectively and are super snarly! Absolutely killer sounding guitar. The neck is fast of course & feels great in the hand .82 - .87. The original tuners lost two tips as is common and are in the case pocket. A set of drop ins are on the guitar and function perfectly.
Overall this 61 dot is really spectacular and a solid 8/10 cosmetically. It was played (as it should be) but well cared for. Some honest bumps, bruises and faint checking really only visible in the right light give this dot a solid vibe.
