1964 Fender Stratocaster CAR

BMVG's is pleased to present this stunning 1964 Fender Stratocaster in the very desirable custom color Candy Apple Red! This instrument is an excellent sounding & playing Pre-CBS Strat with a few "transitional" features. 1964 was a terrific year for the Strat. Strong pickups and a nice full neck profile with a beautiful Brazilian rosewood board is a favorite of many players & collectors.
 
Logo has block lettering. Pick-guard is Mint Green. Inlays are pearl on top, clay on the side. The pickups are grey bottom with copper wire, large magnets (same as black bottoms) and are not rewound. They all read in the mid 5's the guitar is balanced from position to position. All of the pots date to the 28th week of 64 and the guitar sports an L plate of course. The frets are in excellent shape and the instrument plays effortlessly up & down the fretboard. Tuners are original single line Kluson with no other footprint. This Strat also black-lights perfectly and is free of repair or finish issues. 
 
The original 3 way switch is included though a 5 way has been added for additional tonal options. Not pictured but a repro back plate will be included.
