1964 Gibson Firebird III

1964 Gibson Firebird III

BMVG's is pleased to offer a red HOT & RARE bird!

1964 Gibson Firebird III in factory Ember Red!!! Just stunning.

Firebird III's of the era feature through-neck construction, a bound neck, dot inlays, in this case a reverse headstock with two killer mini-buckers and of course a sought after custom color! The mini-humbuckers are what make these guitars so unique with tons of bite and excellent clarity. Sonically they fall between a Tele and a Les Paul, with a fat and powerful warmth when pushed mixed with a single-coil shimmer. Sonically impressive guitars. These birds came stock with a wrap over bridge and string through vibrato giving the player total flexibility. The neck is a perfect med C and you can really fly on this thing! It's an absolute joy to play.

This example is 100% original to the frets and is undoubtedly collector grade, showing some minor checking, some light rash on the back which has not gone through the finish and a few honest bumps and bruises.
