1980 Gibson E2 Explorer
BMVG is pleased to present this absolute shred machine, 1980 Gibson E2 Explorer.
Only produced for four years, the Gibson Explorer II / E2 was designed to serve as a modern upgrade to the original Gibson Explorer. Some key differences in this model were a five-piece maple/walnut body that was contoured and had beveled edges making a SUPER comfortable guitar. The layered neck gives these explorers ultra stability and excellent sustain.
This example has seen playtime but remains 100% factory correct and very clean considering its age and the fact that it's an explorer. The original Dirty Fingers hum-bucking pickups absolutely rip! They are super hot and paired with this wood combo it's just a banging guitar.
Neck measures .83 & .97 and is super comfortable and absolutely shred-alicious!
Frets have 60% life and it plays effortlessly up and down the fretboard.Weighs in at 9 lbs 8 oz and comes complete with original hardshell case which is in good condition.
