Dumble - Fender DR 1967
When it comes to amplifier building and moddification few names are as well known and desireable as Alexander "Howard" Dumble.
When you design, build and improve (mod) amps for the likes of Robbin Ford, Stevie Ray Vaguhn, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Eric Johnson, David Lindley, John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa & many, many more; it's pretty clear why...
This 1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb is an extremely useful and highly desireable amp to begin with.
"Black Face" Fender DR's of this era are some of the most toured & recorded amps in history. Offering the user a powerful, cyrstal clear & incredibly articulate platform with lush reverb on which to build thier signature tone.
This amp came to us from our dear friend Drew Berlin, co-owner of the Dumble brand and will be accompanied by Letter of Authenticy.
This amplifier is on Dumble's personal ledger and has not been touched by anyone since its completion in 2016.
Drew writes;
Alexander Dumble had a well-known love for vintage Fender amplifiers.
This Dumble modified example (1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb, modified by Alexander Dumble 11/21/2016) showcases beautiful sounding circuit modifications to both the “Normal” and “Vibrato” Channels. This was called the “Ultra-phonix” voicing by Dumble and is present on this amplifier across both channels.
This included component modifications and replaced wire and parts. Mr. Dumble also selected and added a Celestion G12H 75 8Ohm speaker made in England. The amplifier retains its original cabinet and chassis. The transformers (along with the extensive, aforementioned voicing modifications to the circuit) were also hand-selected and installed by A. Dumble.
Alexander also added a blue jewel light as a finishing touch!
